The Eastern Cape education department says it will be sending a multi-disciplinary team to a Gqeberha school following the brazen kidnapping of a teacher on Monday morning.
MEC Fundile Gade has condemned the incident, saying police must return the 45-year-old woman to her family.
A video of the incident is doing the rounds on social media.
In a statement on Monday, the MEC said these departmental teams will assist the school staff and learners with psycho-social support.
Police said earlier that the woman was abducted by an unknown number of men moments after arriving at the school.
No arrests have yet been made and no further details were immediately available.
