Three directors accused of contravening the Tax Administration Act had their case postponed at the Johannesburg Magistrates Court on Wednesday.

Sonia Mbele, Yolisa Gqunta and Rebone Sesing, the directors of Real Housewives of South Africa (Pty) Ltd, are facing 42 counts of not filing income tax from 2019-2022.

Spokesperson for the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) Phindi Mjonondwane says they are also accused of not filing their Value Added Tax returns or their Pay-As-You Earn (PAYE) for a period of two years.

She says Mbele failed to appear in court and submitted a medical certificate stating that she is booked off sick until the 3rd of October.

The magistrate issued a warrant of arrest for Mbele, held over to the 5th of October if she fails to appear with her co-accused.

The Real Housewives of South Africa debuted on our screens in 2018 and produced five seasons including the Real Housewives of Gqeberha.
