Police have launched a manhunt after a dangerous criminal escaped from a Knysna correctional facility on Sunday.
Spokesperson, Captain Bernadine Steyn said the escapee has been identified as Nickroy November, he was not only awaiting trial on house robbery charges, but was also serving a prison sentence for housebreaking and theft.
She said members of the public should not try to apprehend the suspect, but rather contact the police with information on his whereabouts.
Steyn said pictures of November have been placed in strategic places in and around Plettenberg Bay.
Police did not provide information on how November escaped custody.
