Court hears how Mossel Bay mother was stabbed 64 times

File photo: Kirsty James (27)

A 32-year-old woman accused of killing her friend at her place of work in Mossel Bay last month is applying for bail.

Fallon Edwards has been in custody for over a month and appeared in court on Wednesday.

She allegedly stabbed 27-year-old Kirsty James at her office at NDK Valuers in Spring Street on the 17th of October.

During the bail hearing, the court heard that James sustained 64 stab wounds all over her body and as a result, the blade of the knife broke off during the violent attack.

When the story broke there were rumours of a possible love triangle, however, it has since come to light that James had spilled the beans on alleged fraud involving Edwards.

Edwards who worked on a part-time basis with James at NDK Valuers, allegedly committed fraud using the company credit card.

She will remain in custody until her next court appearance on the 5th of December.

She is facing a charge of murder and fraud.
