Port Elizabeth murder accused Christopher Panayiotou and alleged hitman Sizwesakhe Vumazonke made another brief appearance in the Port Elizabeth magistrate's court on Thursday.
Panayiotou is accused of orchestrating the abduction and murder of school teacher wife Jayde in April and Vumazonke is accused of being the trigger-man.
On Tuesday, the state withdrew charges against the alleged middleman, 31-year-old Thando Siyoni.
He has now been confirmed as a section 204 state witness.
Vumazonke entered the courtroom flanked by correctional services officer wearing a bulletproof vest, moments later Christopher Panayiotou in his now trademark black suit also entered the dock.
The case was postponed to the 28th of September when the matter would likely be transferred to the High Court.
All things being equal, Panayiotou and Vumazonke will go on trial for the murder of Jayde Panayiotou on the 19th of April 2016.
