A Chinese National who was kidnapped in eQonce (formerly King Williams Town) on Saturday has been reunited with his family after his brother paid a ransom of R350 000.
Police spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Siphokazi Mawisa says in the early hours of Thursday morning the investigation led them to a house of a taxi owner in Mooiplaas outside East London where three arrests were made.
She says a multi-disciplinary task team tactically entered the house where they found the victim unharmed.
Mawisa says his brother, who paid the ransom was also kidnapped and is yet to be found or released.
Police confiscated a shotgun, 11 boxes of ammunition in different calibres, a safe and suspected stolen property.
The suspects aged between 28 and 36 will appear in the East London Magistrates Court soon.
More arrests are imminent.
