Police are appealing for help in tracing the family of a man whose charred remains were discovered in KwaMagxaki on Thursday morning.
Spokesperson, Captain Sandra Janse Van Rensburg, said members responded to a report of a body near Bayland informal settlement at around 7.30 am.
“On arrival, the body of an unknown man was found burned beyond recognition,” she said.
Janse Van Rensburg says anyone who can assist in tracing the family of the victim or may be able to help with the identification, should police in Kwadwesi.
