The state has withdrawn charges against 31-year-old Thando Siyoni, the alleged middleman in the murder of Port Elizabeth teacher, Jayde Panayiotou.
Siyoni appeared in court on Tuesday where the charges against him were withdrawn after it was confirmed that he will turn state's witness.
The Eastern Cape spokesperson for the National Prosecuting Authority, Tsepo Ndwalaza confirmed to AlgoaFM news that Siyoni was now a State witness (204).
Meanwhile, Jayde's husband Christopher and alleged hitman, Sizwezakhe Vumazonke are due make another court appearance on Thursday.
Panayiotou is accused of orchestrating the abduction and murder of his wife in April.
