Bush dweller makes grim discovery outside school in Gqeberha

Police in Gqeberha are investigating a case of murder after a decomposed man was found stuffed inside a bag next to a school on Saturday morning.

Police Spokesperson Colonel Priscilla Naidu says a bush dweller was rummaging in the bushes looking for scrap in Grundling Street right next to a Primary school in Schauderville, when he noticed a big cream bag lying behind a tree, next to a wall.

She said when he opened it he made the grim discovery of a decomposed body with a belt around his neck, hands tied behind his back with another belt, while his feet were bound with sellotape.

Colonel Naidu says the bag was also sealed.

The man alerted the community before running away.

The deceased was wearing a white shirt and jeans and was big in stature.

A post-mortem will be conducted to determine the exact cause of death.

Anyone who can assist police in identifying the man or may know of someone that is missing or can shed any information relating to the murder is asked to contact SAPS Gelvandale, D/Sgt Landiswa Sokanyile on 073 448 5539
