Body of naked woman found tied to pylon in East London

Eastern Cape police are investigating a case of murder after a naked woman was found tied to an electricity pylon on Saturday in the Buffalo City Metro (BCM).

Police spokesperson, Colonel Priscilla Naidu says the body of a woman of about 25-30 years old, was found in the bushes behind IG Foster Stadium, John Nash Street, Buffalo Flats.

Naidu says her pants were found on a pathway leading to the scene, while a green top was beside her.

An autopsy will be conducted to determine her exact cause of death and confirm if she had been raped. 

Police say no arrests have yet been made.
