The police in Gqeberha are investigating a case of murder and attempted murder after two women were shot in Walmer on Thursday night.
Police spokesperson Captain Andre Beetge says the two victims were discovered by the police at 20:20 in front of a liquor outlet in Albert Road with several gunshot wounds.
"One victim, 42-year-old Nandipha Thembani died on the scene while another 42-year-old victim was rushed to hospital in a serious condition."
Beetge said the motive for the shooting is being investigated.
According to sources the incident happened in front of Big Daddy's liquor store.
