Police in Gqeberha are investigating two house robberies on separate small holdings along the city's outskirts this weekend.
Spokesperson Captain Sandra Janse van Rensburg says it is unclear at this stage if the same group of men committed the robberies.
She says on Friday afternoon, a man was outside with his dogs on his small holding on the Draaifontein Road, Murray Park when he was approached by four suspects wearing balaclavas.
Janse van Rensburg says two approached the complainant from the side of the house and three from the back.
The armed men tied up the complainant before ransacking his house for valuable items.
The suspects fled with two TV sets, a sewing machine, speakers, phones and an undisclosed amount of money.
Janse van Rensburg says the second incident happened on a small holding in Kragga Kamma Road at about 8.30 on Saturday night.
She says the 83-year-old complainant was sitting in his lounge when he was grabbed from behind.
He noticed three suspects armed with knives and a screwdriver.
A fourth suspect went to the man's daughter's room to grab her iPhone.
Janse van Rensburg says the victims were ushered into a bedroom and told to wait for half an hour.
The suspects gained entrance to the house by forcing open the back door.
They stole a baby browning firearm, a 38 special, ammunition, meat, jewellery, alcohol and other household goods.
