A Gqeberha man who has been charged with the murder of his father, made another appearance in the city's magistrates court earlier today.
The State alleges that Juan Kolesky, 30, is behind the murder of his father, Anton, at the family's Rowallan Park residence in August 2020.
The 50-year-old Anton was shot and killed inside his house in Rademeyer Street and died at the scene.
Kolesky's arrest came nearly four years after the crime had taken place.

He was arrested in connection with the murder in June, while he was in custody on an unrelated case of house robbery.
It is understood that cell phone evidence, which allegedly includes messages in which he planned to have his father murdered, linked the accused to Anton's death.
During his court appearance on Thursday, Kolesky stood in the dock dressed in denim jeans and an orange jacket.
Kolesky is represented by defence attorney Paul Roelofse.
Roelofse's brother, Theuns Roelofse stood in for him, as he was not present in court.
State Advocate Liesel Landman made an application before the court for Paul Roelofse to produce his Fidelity Fund Certificate (FFC).
All practising legal practitioners are required to have a valid FFC.
Landman told Magistrate Thobile Bara that she is requesting Paul Roelofse's FFC because there is a chance that there might be a "conflict of interest" involving his appearance on behalf of Kolesky.
She also said that Theuns Roelofse appeared on behalf of a state witness in the matter currently before court.
Before Bara could remand the case to a date for the certificate to be produced, Theuns Roelofse wanted to know Landman's reasons for asking it.
He said he had informed The State that he could not appear on behalf of Kolesky himself (during the upcoming bail application or trial), hence he referred the case to his brother.
According to Theuns Roelofse, his brother Paul was practising on his own under the name of a different firm.
He questioned why Landman waited seven days to ask for the certificate, whilst knowing that the bail application was urgent.
Theuns Roelofse also said he had previously informed Landman of the situation because he displayed "courteous behaviour" and that she could have just phoned him to ask for the documents.
He insisted on getting an answer, stating that he needed to know "why" in case other documentation also needed to be produced.
Bara told him that the State and the Court were entitled to ask for the certificate, adding that he (Bara) could ask any new attorney appearing before him to produce the same.
When Theuns Roelofse continued to probe, Bara told him that he was not "Mr Paul Roelofse" and that his brother was the one that needed to sort the matter out in court.
"You will need to wait for him to come to court, this is not about you," said Bara.
In response, Landman told the court that Paul Roelofse was not present during Kolesky's first court appearance.
"He is also not here today and there was no way that the state could have foreseen that.
"As the court so rightly put it, a Fidelity Fund Certificate can be asked for at any time."
Landman further said that the brothers had not displayed any "courteous" behaviour towards the state.
The case was postponed to 15 July, for the FFC Certificate to be produced.
Kolesky is the fourth person to be charged with Anton's murder.
His three co-accused are Dellon Makoppa,37, Kurt Bosman, 30, and Bernard Kopper, 33.
Because they appeared in court in connection with Anton's murder before his son's arrest, their case were remanded to 30 July.
Once Kolesky's formal bail application has been concluded, he will start appearing with the trio.
Kolesky exited the dock saying: "Thank you, Your Honour."
