Have you ever felt so tired, and I’m not talking just physical tiredness, but just feeling like your entire being from the inside is fatigued and weary? You constantly feel like you could take a break from all your responsibilities and reality as a whole and just rest for a few months.

This has been my life for the past few months, and some would misunderstand this as being suicidal, (not at all I’m too precious to die), but it’s just a need to rest from everything that requires me to use my mind, my emotions or even my body. Do you feel like I’m describing you here? Well, what do health and psychological experts say about this kind of situation?

The Not Good Enough Stuff publication mentions that the most common signs that someone needs a break from reality include persistent tiredness, difficulty recalling enjoyable experiences, disinterest in social interactions, time management issues, and always thinking you don’t have time to take a break.

According to the above source, the body and mind work together, and when one is not resting, the other suffers. When you spend the day running non-stop, your body may not be able to fully rest, leading to tiredness and lack of self-care, the publication adds. “Struggling to remember where your time goes each day is a surefire sign that you need a break from life. It’s like you were so busy that your mind was on autopilot, and you didn’t even know what you were doing. You just know you were busy doing stuff.”

The Ajowellness publication adds that “If the things that once brought you joy don’t make you exuberant anymore, it could be a tell-tale sign that you’re heading for a burnout. Struggling with feeling connected and engaged when participating in a social event could mean you need recuperation.”
