American singer and songwriter Richard Marx took to Twitter on Wednesday accusing staff of Korean Air of being ill-equipped to deal with air rage, following an incident on his flight from the Vietnamese Capital Hanoi to Seoul.
The 53-year-old singer, who had international success with several hit songs in the late eighties and early nineties, said that he stepped in after the cabin crew had struggled for four hours to restrain the passenger.
He referred to the incident on his twitter account as "chaotic and dangerous".
According to reports the passenger became aggressive after consuming alcohol. He attacked the passenger sitting next to him and was then threatened by the crew with a tazer gun.
Marx and a fellow passenger eventually stepped in and tied-up the man with rope.
He told his followers on Twitter that it "was not a hero move at all" and he just did what he had hoped that anyone else would have done in that situation.
