UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson has tested positive for Covid-19.
He shared the news on his official Twitter account on Friday.
Johnson, who showed only mild symptoms, is now self-isolating.
He assured the British public that he is still working, even though he will be doing it from home.
As of Friday, the UK had 10 945 positive cases in the county with 578 recorded deaths.
Over the last 24 hours I have developed mild symptoms and tested positive for coronavirus.
