An SAA pilot was arrested when he protested against security procedures at Harare International Airport in Zimbabwe.
The state-owned Herald reports on its website that Captain W van Ginkel was detained after stripping down to his underwear when asked to remove his belt during a security clearance precaution on Wednesday.
According to the report, he was arrested for public indecency.
Van Ginkel was reportedly fined but in terms of Zimbabwian aviation regulations he was not allowed to fly his aircraft after the incident.
Flight SA 025 was delayed for five hours due to the incident.
