Police chopper crashes into Glasgow pub

Several people have been injured after a police helicopter crashed into the roof of a pub in the Scottish city, Glasgow.

Several people are still trapped inside the unstable building.

Authorities said they had made contact with people still inside The Clutha pub in the city centre.

Several injured people had also been taken to hospital.

Television images showed what appeared to be the helicopter's propeller sticking out of the popular one-story pub's roof.

The crash at around 10:30 local time Friday night, sent dozens of patrons fleeing through a cloud of dust.

Scottish police said a crew of three - two policemen and a civilian pilot - were aboard the chopper when it went down.

The cause of the crash is yet known.
