Australian Police are seeking information about the criminal syndicate responsible for a 700-kilogram cocaine importation found hidden on a cargo ship at Sydney's Port Botany.

WHO chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus declared monkeypox a global health emergency of international concern, and told reporters that the best way to protect against infection was "to reduce the risk of exposure".

The World Health Organization on Saturday declared the monkeypox outbreak, which has affected nearly 17,000 people in 74 countries, to be a global health emergency - the highest alarm it can sound.

Four Australians, believed to be part of a drug trafficking syndicate, have been arrested following the seizure of 66 kilograms of cocaine worth $23.7 million Australian Dollars. The Australian Federal Police (AFP) says an investigation was launched last month after officers at the Border found the cocaine hidden inside four car tyres imported from Switzerland.
