An appeal was made for information that could assist in locating a 21 -year- old woman who disappeared in Sedgefield, near Knysna
The NSRI said Marie Ostbo from Norway arrived in Sedgefield on Wednesday with a group of young International students on a tour of South Africa.
At around 6 pm, some of the group went for a walk on the beach and then returned an hour later.
Mari was last seen on the beach at 7 pm about 100 meters from the backpackers where they were staying.
NSRI Wilderness, Community Police, the SA Police Services and a Police K-9 Search and Rescue Unit have not been able to find her despite an extensive search and all possibilities are being explored.
Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to contact the Sedgefield Police.
Meanwhile, mystery still surrounds the whereabouts of missing Gabonese triathlete, David Bellet-Brissaud.
Police divers scoured the Port Elizabeth harbour for a second straight day on Wednesday after CCTV footage showed him entering the harbour precinct in the early hours of last Friday morning and climbing from one chokka boat to another.
Colonel Priscilla Naidu said they also conducted an extensive search of the chokka boats moored at the quayside and found nothing.
She said police divers won't be going back to the harbour on Thursday but that the investigation into his disappearance is on-going.
The 48-year-old athlete was reported missing on last week Friday, barely a day after he and his wife Lydia arrived in Nelson Mandela Bay for the Standard Bank Ironman Africa Championship - a race for which he never ended up registering for.
His brother and sister offered a reward of R12 000 on Monday for information on his whereabouts that would lead to him being found.
The family increased the reward money to R150 000 on Thursday adding that positive "proof of life" would be required.
