Nine people have been killed and several are missing in what is being described as the worst wildfires in California's history.
About 250 000 people have already been evacuated with several hundred homes destroyed.
Five of the victims were killed when the fires engulfed their vehicles.
US President Donald Trump took to Twitter this morning to say that the fires were as a result of gross forest mismanagement, threatening to cut off financial aid.
Several Hollywood celebrities also evacuated their homes as the fires started spreading to Malibu.
