A Thai man has hanged his 11-month-old daughter to death on a building rooftop before hanging himself in a two-minute Facebook Live post, local police confirmed to dpa on Tuesday.
Wuttisan Wongthalay, 21, posted the video clip on his Facebook page late Monday, prompting his wife Jiranuch Trairat, also 21, to alert
police in the southern city of Phuket, 840 kilometres south of Bangkok.
Police found Wuttisan’s body and his dead daughter on the rooftop of an abandoned hotel in the city, according to a police officer at
Sakhu police station in Phuket.
Jiranuch told police her husband and daughter went missing after they had an argument about another child she had with her ex-partner.
She added that Wuttisan often physically abused her and had been paranoid she would have affairs.
Wuttisan was charged with manslaughter, the police spokesman said, but no legal action will be taken due to his death.
