Maintenance work to start at Buckingham Palace

Maintenance work to the tune of 150-million pounds needs to be done to Buckingham Palace in London.

That's the equivalent of almost R2.9-BILLION at the current exchange rate.

The BBC reports that the Queen may have to move out of Buckingham Palace to allow maintenance work to be carried out.

The Palace needs new plumbing and wiring and has not been decorated since 1952, the year the Queen ascended the throne.
