Honeymoon murder accused Shrien Dewani is not fit to plead, but this should not stop his extradition proceedings.
That's the word from the South African government's lawyer Hugo Keith, giving testimony at Dewani's extradition hearing in a London court on Monday.
Thirty-three-year-old Dewani is accused of orchestrating the murder of his wife Anni in Gugulethu, Cape Town, in November 2010.
He faces extradition to South Africa for trial and has denied any involvement in her murder.
Dewani is also excused from attending the hearing as he is still being treated for post-traumatic stress disorder and depression at a Bristol hospital.
