South African born actress Charlize Theron has been nominated for her third Academy Award for Best Actress for her role in Bombshell.
The movie, which co-stars Margot Robbie and Nicole Kidman tell the true story of how the CEO for Fox News was exposed for sexual harassment.
Theron won her first academy award in 2004 for the film Monster and was nominated again in the category in 2006 for North Country.
Psychological thriller film "Joker" led the race for the 92nd Academy Awards, or the Oscars, with 11 nominations which include Best Actor, Best Film and Best adapted screenplay.
The Oscars take place in Las Vegas on the 10th of February.
