Turquoise for the elderly food & fun festival

Leisure Homes for Senior Citizens is a Non-Profit Organization governed under the Housing Development catering for assisted living, frail care needs and people diagnosed with Dementia and Alzheimer’s; situated at 104 Bonza Bay Road, Beacon Bay, East London.

Kennersley Park will be holding an annual “Go Turquoise for the Elderly campaign” running from 15 May 2025 (International Family Day) to 15 June 2025. (World Elder Abuse Awareness Day)

The purpose of this campaign is to provide communities around the world an opportunity to promote a better understanding of the abuse and neglect of older persons by raising awareness of the cultural, social, economic and demographic processes affecting elderly abuse and neglect.

Kennersley Park is celebrating this campaign with Art in the Park; market stalls; entertainment for children and lucky draw on 24 May.

There will be a fun walk between 8 am and 10 am, where visitors will see Turquoise and walk around the beautiful cottage gardens at Kennersley Park.

From 10 am until 3 pm we will have some beautiful art on display, wheelchair dash (race), entertainment, various food stalls, arts & crafts stalls, activities & prizes for children, lucky draws and much more.
