Stedin College invites families in Nelson Mandela Bay to the Stedin Heritage Day Fun Day.
This Braai Day event promises to be entertaining and nostalgic. There will be indigenous games for all ages and fitness levels. Braai stands will be fired up and ready for all who want to bring to braai. There will be a jumping castle and face painting for children. In celebration of Heritage Day, the games on offer will all be indigenous games that are old favorites in many homes and neighborhoods across South Africa. The fun of the day will include hopscotch, umshinxi, red robot, upuca (klip klippie), tug-o-war, udwadla (a kind of tag), and block tot (a sort of piggie in the middle).
The Stedin Family Fun Day will take place on Heritage Day Saturday, the 24th of September, from 10:00 to 13:00. The event is open to the public, and there will be a small entry fee of R10 will be donated to Early Childhood Development in Walmer Township.
Please take note of the following: -The Fun Day will run from 10:00 am until 13:00pm. -No alcohol will be allowed on the premises. -R10 entry fee per person. -The fires will be provided. Please bring your own braai utensils, braai packs, camping chairs/blankets, spices, and sides. -The tuck-shop will be open for the sale of snacks (chips, sweets, etc.) -Garmed emergency services will be on-site for any emergencies.
There will be no card facilities available. Please bring cash.
