Zayn Malik's first solo single has given him all kinds of accolades. 'Pillowtalk' is officially the fastest selling single of 2016, selling a total of 112 000 copies in its first week.
It also helped him achieve a number one spot on the Billboard Hot 100, an achievement 1D has not been able to reach.The number two spot on the chart is the highest achievement the boy band has garnered back in 2013 when Zayn was still a band member, with the song titled 'Best Song Ever'. Folowing the number two spot hit, the boy band could only manage another number three spot on the chart with the single 'Drag Me Down'. The achievement was obtained following Zayn's exit.
Zayn's solo career achievements, so far do not end there. He has also become the first UK artist to enter the US charts at the Number One spot with a debut single.
