Nearly after 12 years later, Zahara Jolie-Pitt's birth mother Mentewab Dawit Lebiso spoke to Daily Mail online and expressed her hopes of reconnecting with Zahara.
12-year-old Zahara was adopted by Angelina Jolie and later by Brad Pitt when the couple married. Zahara was put up for adoption by her birth mother when she was 6-months-old in July 2015 in Ethiopia.
Mentewab has made a plea to Angelina, telling her she wants to talk to her daughter.
'I would ask Angelina to let me speak with her. I do not think it is too much to ask.'
31-year-old Mentewab said she had not received any letter or card from Angelina in the past 12 years. She has had no contact with Zahara since the day she was taken to America in 2005.
'I just want her to know that I am alive and here and long to be able to speak with her. I do not want my daughter back but just to be in contact with her and be able to call her up and talk with her’.
