Tributes have been pouring in from around the world for singer and actress, Dame Olivia Newton-John, who has died from cancer at the age of 73.
The British-born Australian was best known for playing the role of Sandy in the movie, Grease, one of the most successful film musicals ever made.
The BBC reports that Newton-John died peacefully at her California ranch surrounded by family and friends.
She was a four-time Grammy Award winner whose music career produced five number one hits and top ten hits on the Billboard Hot 100, as well as two Billboard 200 number one albums.
According to reports, Newton-John has global sales of over 100 million records.
She also starred in the 1978 hit Grease alongside star, John Travolta, and whose soundtrack remains one of the best-selling albums.
Travolta tweeted: "My dearest Olivia, you made all of our lives so much better. Your impact was incredible. I love you so much. We will see you down the road and we will all be together again. Yours from the first moment I saw you and forever! Your Danny, your John!
