Willie Nelson and Snoop Dogg have recorded a collaborative track titled 'Roll Me Up' that celebrates smoking cannabis.
The track, which was posted on country singer Nelson's website, was released yesterday (April 20) to mark the American counterculture holiday '4/20', in which marijuana users congregate together to smoke the substance.
Singer Kris Kristofferson and Jamey Johnson also feature on the song, which includes Nelson's opening lyric of "Roll me up and smoke me when I die, and if anyone don't like it, just look 'em in the eye."
Snoop Dogg's affection for cannabis is well-documented, but his fondness for the drug has often landed him in hot water. In December last year, the rapper was sued by a Lebanese concert promoter for allegedly smoking weed in a Middle East club in 2009, and he was also arrested in Texas in January of this year after authorities searched his tour bus and found three prescription bottles filled with marijuana cigarettes.
Ironically, Nelson was also arrested for a similar incident in 2010, but settled a plea deal that reduced his marijuana possession charge to possession of the drug paraphernalia and received a $500 (£323) fine.
