The Crown's fourth season picks up as the 1970s are drawing to a close with Queen Elizabeth, once again played by Oscar-winner Olivia Coleman, and the rest of the Royal Family concerned about safeguarding the royal line of succession and finding the right bride for the heir to the throne.
The trailer gives us a first look at Gillian Anderson as Margaret Thatcher and Princess Diana in her wedding dress, this time around played by Emma Corrin. ( In seasons five and six, Lady Di will be played by Australian actor Elizabeth Debicki.)
On their official social media account, The Crown’s official Instagram page captioned the trailer, "The monarchy. Above all else."
You don’t have to be a fan of the monarchy to enjoy this in-depth look at the privileged royal family and all their ‘royal shenanigans’.
Netflix has announced the launch date for the new season will be mid-November this year.
