South Africa’s artists have upped the ante in their mission to have Sports, Arts, and Culture Minister, Nathi Mthethwa, removed from office through the creation of a song and dance movement challenge called 'Nathi Must Fall'.
The group of artists staging a sit-in at the National Arts Council (NAC) offices in Newtown, Johannesburg, created the song after many desperate calls to have Mthethwa step down as minister, citing issues surrounding the presidential stimulus employment program (PESP) and Covid-19 relief funds.
The group calling themselves 'Abahlali base NAC' posted the clip on social media, they are demanding answers on how the PESP money has been distributed.
