Judy Garland rose to international stardom during a career that spanned more than 45 years. Hers is a tale of constant struggle against the pressures of early fame in a movie industry that relentlessly criticised her physical appearance. When she died in 1969 at the age of 47 from an accidental overdose of barbiturates, she had been an addict for more than 30 years.

Judy stars Renee Zellweger in the title role and critics are saying that her performance and physical transformation are quite remarkable. Predictions are that an Oscar could very well be coming her way.
