The iconic ex-Beatle has added his voice to the many other celebrities pleading for COP26 to take more drastic action to save the planet from the effects of climate change.
Paul McCartney, a well-known climate activist, is calling on COP26 to adopt the Plant-Based Treaty in accompaniment to the Paris Agreement. The 2015 international Paris Agreement was created during COP21 and focuses on climate change mitigation, adaptation, and finance.
In 2009, McCartney and his daughters founded the Meat Free Mondays initiative in the hopes of encouraging people to fight climate change.
