The world’s top athletes are bedding down on ‘cardboard beds’, with social media posts suggesting that they were designed to discourage intimacy.
The 100 per cent recyclable cardboard beds were designed by the Japanese company Airweave and some are claiming they were made to collapse under the weight of any athletes wanting to get intimate.
The Olympic organizers have been hard at work to encourage athletes to keep their distance from one another as the pandemic continues to rage across the globe, however, the athlete's village is known for being a hub of sexual activity during the games.
While encouraging the athletes to abstain, the Olympic officials are again distributing thousands of condoms to the athletes just to be on the safe side.
According to SKY News, and Irish gymnast Rhys McClenaghan, it's fake news and the beds will not break under a bit of bouncing around.
He filmed himself giving his cardboard bed a workout to disprove the rumors that they would collapse with too much movement.
