Yesterday morning was Miss South Africa Tamaryn Green’s first official day on the job! And this was first message to her fans on social media, 

“Woke up with a heart so full and content. Last night a little girl’s dream became her reality. South Africa I dedicate the next 365 days in service of you. For my people, with my people, together."

The 23 year old medical student was crowned in a glittering ceremony on Sunday at the Sun Arena in Pretoria. She walks away with R3 million rands worth of prizes. Take a look at her first press interview. Best of luck for the year ahead Tamaryn!
