In what some are calling a “bizarre” interview, the Queen of Crime Drama, Lynda La Plante was joined by her giant ‘opera singing ‘ dog Hugo to promote her eighth Jane Tennison thriller Dark Rooms.
The Morning TV show presenters Rochelle Humes and Andi Peters were joined in the studio by La Plante and her 16-month-old white borzoi dog, Hugo to promote the release of her latest installment.
In a clip taken from the interview , Humes and Peters can be seen looking on in appreciation as Hugo proceeds to ‘sing along’ to the national anthem God Save the Queen – mom of course beams with pride in the background as Hugo howls away.
The Mirror reports that ITV viewers were left divided over the unexpected performance - I confess it did bring a smile to my face.
