Tess is a film directed by South African filmmaker Meg Rickards. The film is based on the award-winning novel, Whiplash written by Tracey Farren.
It follows the story of Tess (played by Christia Visser) , a young sex worker who falls pregnant and has to deal with issues from her past.
Also starring in the film is Nse Ikpe-Etim, Brendon Daniels, Dann Jacques Mouton, Lee-Ann van Rooi, Quanita Adams, Amanda Lane, Warrick Grier, Oscar Peterson, Mark Elderkin and Greg Kriek.
The movie opens in South Africa at Ster Kinekor cinemas on the 24th February.
