Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom have announced to the world that they are expecting their first child together. The big reveal happened when she dropped her music video for Never Worn White on Thursday night.
At the end of the video, Perry can be seen in flowing white chiffon cradling her baby bump while singing about her love for her fiancé. She posted a clip from the music video to Instagram, writing: “Let’s just say it’s gonna be a jam-packed summer…”
She also took to Twitter to spread the word, posting: “omg so glad I don’t have to suck it in anymore. Or carry around a big purse lol.”
While the song is not the lead single off her upcoming sixth album, she released the video first because she says, “I was getting way too fat to hide it, so I was like, ‘Well, I think this song will be a great reveal!’
While the couple is very much in love and engaged to be married, the relationship has not always been smooth sailing. They first met in 2016, broke up in February 2017, rekindling their romance five months. later Then on the 14th February 2019, Bloom proposed to Perry – she said yes.
Their upcoming nuptials will be the second time around the block for both of them. Perry was briefly married to comedienne Russel Brand while Bloom was married to supermodel Miranda Kerr with whom he shares their son, 9-year-old Flynn.
While they did not share when exactly their baby will be arriving, it is estimated to be around June/July as she talks about a jam-packed Summer and let’s face it, that bump is pretty big.
And for those who may be wondering, Perry confirmed to SiriusXM Hits 1 on March 5 when she called in to discuss her new single “Never Worn White.”, that the baby was planned.
