James Blunt released a new single called 'Monster' and it's gotten us all emotional.

The song is an ode to his father, Colonel Charles Blount, a former cavalry officer, who has Stage 4 chronic kidney disease.

As the video begins, Blunt sings sadly with tears running down his face.
