Controversial CBS morning show co-anchor, Gayle King, has once again caused a huge stir on social media.
In discussing the late basketball superstar Kobe Bryant, who died in a helicopter crash on January 26 along with eight other passengers including his eight-year-old daughter Gianna, she asked of WNBA star Lisa Leslie whether the 2003 rape accusation against Kobe had made his legacy “complicated”. Lisa Leslie was one of Bryant's closest friends.
According to Daily Mail UK, Gayle was referring to a 2003 rape charge that was brought against Kobe and then dropped in 2004 after the accuser chose not to testify. In August of that same year, the woman filed a civil lawsuit which was eventually settled out of court.
There are many on social media who feel that her question was out of line. Watch the clip right here.
