The identity of the Facebook whistle-blower who copied tens of thousands of internal research documents while working at the social media company was revealed Sunday night on 60 Minutes.
The 37-year-old former Facebook product manager, Frances Haugen, says in her time with Facebook she saw, "conflicts of interest between what was good for the public and what was good for Facebook."
Haugen worked on civic integrity issues at the company and has told the media that the documents show that Facebook knows its platforms are used to spread hate, violence, and misinformation, and that the company has tried to hide that evidence.
