Manchester City’s FA Cup winners were met with an unexpected surprise upon arriving at the airport after beating Manchester United 2-1 in the final at Wembley Stadium Saturday.
Elton John bumped into the soccer heroes on the tarmac and what followed was a flurry of selfies and a spontaneous bursting into song by City staff and players of Elton’s iconic hit ‘Your Song” - the lyrics changing to, “ "You can tell everybody, we've won the FA Cup!"
Sky News posted a video of the celebratory moment on Twitter in which 76-year-old Elton can be seen congratulating the players.
