WATCH: Elton John hosts star-studded online concert to raise money for COVID-19 relief

Hosted by Elton John, the iHeart Living Room Concert For America featured clips from an incredible line-up of artists who sang their hearts out for charity.

Performers included Lady Gaga, Mariah Carey, Billie Eilish, the Backstreet Boys, Alicia Keys, Green Day’s Billie Joe Armstrong, Sam Smith, Tim McGraw, Camila Cabello, H.E.R, Dave Grohl, and many more!  Non-singing superstars such as Ellen DeGeneres, Melissa McCarthy and Ryan Seacrest also made brief appearances with inspirational messages of hope and thanks for those working at the frontline of the pandemic.

The hour-long concert was shown on all Fox platforms, as well as on all iHeartRadio stations on Sunday night. During the concert, viewers were encouraged to make donations to Feeding America, a nonprofit organization that works with over 200 food banks across America, and First Responders Children’s Foundation, which provides support to first responder families who are enduring financial hardship due to the pandemic.

Social distancing was, of course, no issue as they all performed from the comfort of their homes.

After a welcome by Elton John, in what appeared to be his kitchen, the opening act began with Alicia Keys who performed in her sitting-room behind a purple upright piano. Her message to the world before she launched into her latest single Underdog struck just the right note, "This song is like a prayer, and I hope that we remember how resilient we are and how we defy the odds."

Well done to all involved – there is no word yet on how much money was raised.
