WATCH : Dog starts housefire after turning on stove with paw

It was not a ‘good boy’ day for a dog in Parkville, Missouri, USA, whose owners had left him home alone, roaming around the kitchen searching for scraps, the temptation of some leftover food in a pan atop the stove proved too much for him to bear!

Take a look at what happens next - security video from inside the house shows the dog standing on its hind legs and leaning against the stove – his paws then accidentally turning the stove on.

Fire crews rescued two dogs from the home and extinguished the flames, there were no injuries in the blaze.
