South African born actor Lesley-Ann Brandt who plays the popular and gorgeous demon on the Netflix series shocks Twitter fans when she speaks Afrikaans in one of the scenes.
The series revolves around the devil, Lucifer Morningstar, who escaped hell to live in Los Angeles and has a demon sidekick called Maze.
In the scene in episode 1, Maze is having a session with psychotherapist, Dr Linda Martin who's character is played by Rachel Harris.
Dr Linda tells Maze that perhaps it would help if she spoke her language.
To which she responds in a distorted voice: "Kan jy vir my verstaan wat ek praat? Want ek wil saam met jou praat." (Can you understand what I am saying, cause I want to talk to you?)
So, apparently the #Afrikaans language is the official language in hell. Guess I'm sorted. ????
