June and Barry Steenkamp are planning to share Reeva’s story and the ensuing tragic impact her murder had on her family and friends in a tell-all documentary series.
This past Saturday the annual Reeva Rebecca Steenkamp Foundation breakfast was held in Port Elizabeth to continue her work in educating and empowering women and children against violence and abuse. A documentary crew were at the breakfast to film it for inclusion in the documentary titled My Name Is Reeva.
Uprise.Africa, an equity crowdfunding platform, is facilitating fundraising for the documentary to be produced by director and co-producer Warren Batchelor and co-producer Tony Miguel.
On the website the team behind the documentary stated the following: 'For the first time, exclusive interviews with Jun and Barry Steenkamp, we tell the tragic story of the collision course Oscar Pistorious and Reeva's lives took, and the decisions that set the wheels in motion for the "fairytale" romance of South Africa's newly crowned golden couple to end in a bloody murder.'
They also said they wish to highlight the epidemic of violence that exists in South African Society today.
There is no release date as yet.
