World renowned athlete, Olympic Gold medalist and South Africa's golden girl, Caster Semenya shares her life story and the challenges she faced as a young and budding athlete, growing up in the dusty streets of Polokwane, in a village deep in the Limpopo province, to being one of the greatest athletes the world has ever seen.
In this new Nike advert, Semenya mentions the first time she moved from the village to the city, and how she was not intimidated at all.
She says "You may have all those resources, but what I have is the power in me to defeat," proving once again that the adversities we face in our personal lives have the ability to push and propel us to greater heights.
