Barbie has been a popular toy for decades, and now she's about to make a splash on the big screen with her own comedy movie courtesy of Warner Bros. The film, simply titled Barbie, is sure to captivate audiences of all ages with its stellar cast and stunning animation.
Director Greta Gerwig co-wrote the story with Noah Baumbach, it is based on the Barbie fashion dolls by Mattel.
The all-star cast includes Margot Robbie in the lead role of Barbie. In addition to Robbie, Ryan Gosling makes an appearance as Ken, Helen Mirren is the narrator, and also in the lineup are Dua Lipa, Issa Rae, Simu Liu, Michael Cera, Will Ferrell, and Kate McKinnon.
The only thing we know about the plot thus far is that after being expelled from Barbieland for being a less-than-perfect-looking doll, Barbie sets off for the human world to find true happiness.
Barbie is scheduled for release on July 21, 2023.
